Most products die between the Figma file and the App Store. We wanted to prove we could close that distance, so we picked a problem nobody had solved and solved it well.

We designed Kvadrat Six for use with medium format, hand-holdable shutter speeds for heavy camera bodies with slapping mirrors, apertures through f/45, and film speeds in thirds. Find Kvadrat Six in the Apple App Store.

Using Figma for UI design and Claude Code, Terminal, and xCode for development, we built Kvadrat Six and launched it in the Apple App Store.

Then we tested it like an instrument, not an app, against the leading app-based meters and a handheld meter. The tests measured E/V readings across eight stops of light. Mean agreement of 0.13 EV, no drift at the extremes, repeatability within a fifth of a stop in dim light.
